We are a team of volunteer healthcare professionals, students and advisors determined to widen access and deliver outreach activities, working with organisations including schools, colleges, charities, universities, hospitals, local authorities, regulators and royal colleges. We believe anyone interested in pursuing a career in medicine and allied health professions should have the opportunity to do so.
The team organise the UKs largest dedicated conference for aspiring medics and health professionals, talks, workshops and masterclasses to support prospective and current healthcare students. We were proud to have the General Medical Council, Medical Schools Council, British Medical Association, British Medical Journal, Royal Colleges and several Universities support our inaugural national conference.
We are interested to work with a range of organisations to deliver volunteer-led talks so please feel free to forward our contact details to anyone interested. In particular we would like to reach students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those that are underrepresented in Medicine and health professions.
We work closely with organisations to widen participation into Healthcare, and to promote the goals of the Medical Schools Council’s ‘Selecting for Excellence’ Report. Our outreach programme is voluntary and all of our school talks are delivered at no cost to students.
The team also produce resources and events for current medical and health students. These include medical education resources, careers advice and Situational Judgement Test workshops.
Please feel free to get in touch.
